Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 August 2026

This page explains what data may be processed when you use Sea La Vue, the purposes for which it is processed, and how you control optional technologies.

Data controller

Sea La Vue, Lefkos, Karpathos. For privacy-related questions you can contact us at info@sealavue.gr or +30 697 366 2556.

Data we process and legal bases

The web server may keep technical logs such as IP address, browser type, date/time and requested URL for security, troubleshooting and reliable operation, based on our legitimate interest in protecting and operating the website. If you contact us through the contact form, by email or by telephone, we process the information you provide only to handle your request and, where applicable, to take steps before entering into an agreement or booking. The form uses technical abuse checks and temporary rate limiting for security.

Google Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics is optional and is not loaded before you choose “Accept”. After consent, it may use cookies such as _ga and a property-specific _ga_* cookie to measure website usage and traffic. These cookies are generally retained for up to two years, depending on the service settings. If you reject Analytics, the website continues to work without it. You can revisit your choice through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Consent preference storage

Your Analytics choice is stored locally in your browser so you are not asked on every visit. This storage is used only to remember your choice.

Google Maps

The Location and Contact pages use an embedded Google Maps service. The map is loaded when it approaches the visible part of the page. When it loads, the browser connects directly to Google services and technical information, such as the IP address and browser or device information, may be transmitted to Google. Google’s terms and privacy policies apply to this service.

Third-party services and transfers

Where Google services are used, data may be processed by Google outside the European Economic Area in accordance with the applicable safeguards and Google’s privacy policies.

Retention and security

We keep data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as a relevant legal obligation requires. Technical measures are used to reduce unauthorised access and exposure.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request information, access, correction or deletion of personal data, and may request restriction of or object to processing where those rights apply. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. Use the contact details above for such requests.

Changes to this policy

This policy is updated when the website operation or the third-party services used by it change. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of this page.
